Reservation Search Mode is all about giving you powerful search capability at your fingertips.
You have two ways of viewing this page, with or without the Advanced Panel:
(here we see the advanced panel hidden)
You can still use the quick search buttons with the advanced panel hidden:
When viewing with the Advanced panel, you have two options;
- detail search if you're looking for something in particular, like a reservation, customer or item
- quick search uses pre-defined filters to quickly find what you want. e.g. 'Today' or 'New':
Your results appear in the Bottom section. How your results are displayed depends on which VIEW you have selected.
Search mode may or may not use the When section. If it does use the When section it will glow gently to let you know.
some examples
- Detail Search - it will use the When field because it needs to know how far back (or forward) to look.
- New filter - no need to use when because New means New regardless of what dates are
- Today filter - as above
So let's take a closer look at the When Panel:
Changing dates does not ACTION a search, it simply sets dates that will be used in your next search.
The three buttons behind the 'Years' menu: Last Year, This year & Next year are just convenience buttons to quickly change your dates.
But if you want more control over dates then click on each date picker to set what you need.
Please note you can also decide if you include / exclude cancelled reservations (default is exclude)
