Disabling invoice auto-creation
By default 'Auto-Invoice creation' is enabled on all stores. This means when a reservation is transitioned from Provisonal > Confirmed. However some stores may want to disable this feature to have full control over when invoices are created, for each reservation.

Why would you want to disable this feature?
In some countries there are strict rules about invoices. You are not allowed to make changes to an invoice after it has been created. (But BRM allows bikes to be added & removed, and dates changed).
In some countries the tax liability (VAT / TVA / Sales Tax) starts when the invoice is created - rather than when the order is placed.
Behaviour if you disable this feature - and go manual
If you disable auto-invoice creation - then each invoice will only be created on demand.
⬆️ You can see that the invoice creation is left as a user-decision, not automated on reservation stage transition
To generate the invoice number (for example when you are confident no further changes will take place)
- Press the 'Generate Invoice' button
- Confirm that you want to go ahead
- You will see a sequential invoice number will have been created.
- The next time you print or email the invoice number will be included
Generating an invoice cannot be undone (for legal compliance reasons).
If you make changes to the reservation after an invoice has been generated you may need to consider cancelling this reservation and creating a new one.
