What this error means
When you save your Lightspeed settings (Settings › Integrations › Lightspeed) and one of the values isn't valid, BRM now tells you so directly — a message starting "Invalid Lightspeed settings payload: …" followed by the specific problem.
This is a recent change. Previously, an invalid Lightspeed settings save could fail with a generic server error that gave no indication of which field was wrong.
Why it happens
One of the saved fields doesn't match what Lightspeed expects — most commonly:
- An incorrect Account ID or Shop ID (see LSI006 — Lightspeed Account ID is missing for where to find the correct one)
- An invalid Tax Setup Type — this should be set to NONE, not SALES_TAX (see LSI010 — Invalid tax setup type)
How to fix it
- Read the specific detail after "Invalid Lightspeed settings payload:" — it names the problem field.
- Double-check that value against your Lightspeed account directly (Account ID/Shop ID come from Lightspeed, not BRM).
- Correct it in BRM and save again.
Still stuck?
